Many of these skin care products are really helpful in reinforcing the moisture in our skin and getting rid of blemishes that occur in our skin. Moisturizers are often one of the necessary beauty and skin care products that we need. There are basically two types of moisturizers and these are the lotions and the creams. Lotions are light moisturizers that individuals use daily while creams are usually used for overnight use.

Why We Need A Skin Care Moisturizer Cream

A skin care moisturizer cream is one of the necessities of both men and women who have dry skin or a combination type of skin. We need a skin care moisturizer cream to maintain the moisture, elasticity and suppleness of our skin. Dry skin is often flaky and parched to look at, which is not presentable at all and makes us susceptible to skin disorders and rashes. A skin care moisturizer cream is recommended for use overnight. This is because the skin care moisturizer cream is more dense than ordinary moisturizer lotions and during the night we do not go out anymore and run the risk of people seeing us with cream on our faces.

A skin care moisturizer cream is usually used for the face and other areas that are exceptionally dry. Compared to lotions that contain more water, skin care moisturizer creams are more concentrated and you do not need to repeat the application compared to a lotion where there is a need for repeated application because you feel that it did not penetrate the skins so well. Most skin care moisturizer creams are for the eyes and other parts of the face.

Ingredients To Avoid In A Skin Care Moisturizer Cream

The more natural the ingredients in your skin care moisturizer cream the better it will be for you. Chemicals and other petroleum based ingredients are to be avoided in skin care products. These can damage your skin eventually and many can contribute to cancer. Other chemicals are harsh and can cause irritation in our skin. Artificial fragrances can also be dangerous to us. There are no laws that specify or target chemical induced fragrances so manufacturers can place anything in the skin care moisturizer cream as a fragrance.

It is better to choose creams that are organic and pure botanicals since these not only moisturize our skin but also help soothe and heal damaged skin.

Click Here for More Great Articles!

Hey! Pay Attention To These Skin Care Tips!

All the skin care goop you can smear on, peel off or step into cannot help you if you don’t do your part. There is no instant solution for great skin – or even fairy decent skin. Fortunately, these skin care tips will not only help your skin look its best, but will help every other part in your body, too. Think of it as multitasking for your health! And if you do decide to use any skin care product, they will work better for you because you gave them a fighting chance.

Drink Plenty Of Water

You need at least six glasses of water a day. This is the least expensive and most overlooked skin care tip out there. Water does not equal liquid. Water, flavored waters and herbal teas hydrate your body and the skin. Other popular kinds of beverages do not. Drinks like coffee, black tea, hot chocolate, carbonated drinks, energy drinks and especially alcohol dehydrate your body. They are okay only occasionally.

Water not only helps keep your skin soft, but helps to remove toxins from your body. Drinking plenty of water has other benefits besides skin care. Water helps keep your urinary and digestive systems functioning normally. Water helps keep all of the liquid parts of your body flowing and helps give you energy.

Don’t Smoke

This is a harsh but true skin care tip – if you smoke, your skin is screwed. Smoking dehydrates your skin, as well as making your more prone to wrinkles and skin cancer. Smoking can also discolor the skin on many parts of the body – not just in nicotine-stained fingers. Smoking also leaves your skin smelling like an old ash tray.

Learn How To Handle Stress

Another tried and true skin care tip that is often ignored is that you need to learn how to handle your stress. Your emotions not only show on your face, but they do a number on your skin. Some aggravating skin conditions like hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), psoriasis and eczema are aggravated when you are stressed out. You need to learn how to prioritize demands on your time and take time out for you.

Don’t turn to chemicals or food in order to relax. That’s another skin care tip that’s often ignored. Chemicals will affect your skin. Use meditation, a walk in the park, laughing with friends or petting your dog in order to help you relax. Over time, these skin care tips will leave you with a healthier body overall.

Click Here for More Great Articles!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://acne-411.blogspot.com/2008/08/hey-pay-attention-to-these-skin-care.html' title='Hey! Some are redundant skin care products that are just made more expensive by the expensive name brands that they are packaged in. The kinds of skin care products that we really need depend on the type of skin we have. Once we have an idea what our skin type is, we can start to choose which skin care products are necessary for us.

Types Of Skin

People have several skin types including normal, oily, dry, sensitive and some combinations of all four skin types. Consulting a dermatologist to know which skin type you have may be necessary especially if you have a combination skin type. Normal skin is usually smooth with little or no blemishes while oily skin is commonly oily to touch and can easily attract dust and dirt. This makes it prone to breakouts such as whitehead, blackheads and acne.

Dry skin is usually is somewhat parched looking and is prone to flaking. This skin type is more prone to ageing and wrinkles. Combination skin is often dry and oily skin. Each part of the face that has these individual types must be treated accordingly. Sensitive skin is prone to rash and irritations when you use harsh skin care products or skin treatments on it. It is also prone to changes in the weather.

Basic Skin Care Products

Dry skin usually needs skin care products replete with moisturizers to help it maintain elasticity and lessen its susceptibility to ageing and winkles. A night cream should also be added to the daily regimen of a person with a dry skin type to ensure proper moisturizing.

For those individuals with oily skin, skin care products with sebum control are good for managing oiliness. Make sure that the skin care products you use will not overly dry your skin in the process of controlling the sebum.

Sensitive skin types need to be careful what skin care products they use on their skin. Mild skin care products are ideal for the sensitive skin types and also those that do not contain any fragrances and perfumes.

Combination skin types need to treat each specific area according to its type. Normal skin types may have no problems regarding skin care products as long as they choose ones that are not overwhelming to their skin. Knowing which kinds of products are needed for your skin is necessary to maintain the appearance and health of your skin.

Click Here for More Great Articles!

Skin Care for Men – Recommendations

It is not just women who are concerned about the appearance and health of their skin. Men also want to have good looking skin, free of rashes and dry areas. Good looking, healthy skin can help give a man’s face an attractive appearance. There are tips and products that can help men keep their skin looking good or in some cases to significantly improve the health and look of their skin.

The skin of males contains about fifteen percent more oil than does the skin of women and men also typically have larger pores than women, thus men have a tendency to get dirtier skin. For skin care for men, some experts recommend that men perform a deep cleansing on their skin on a daily basis in order to keep the pores clean and give the skin a pleasant appearance. Avoid using cleansing products filled with chemicals and deodorants. These products might cause skin irritation and they will end up clogging your pores.

Scrubbing and Moisturizers

Recommendations for skin care for men include providing your facial skin with a beneficial scrubbing which will eliminate dead skin cells and give your face a smooth appearance. Avoid scrubbing products that contain rough substances such as seed extracts or small grounded pieces of nuts. These products will actually cause harm to your skin. Skin care for men includes using a quality moisturizer and choosing products that do not contain chemicals or only very small amounts.

Skin care for men also includes applying a moisturizer to the face after shaving as well as after cleansing the skin. Moisturizers applied after shaving should not contain alcohol or a heavy amount of fragrances since they can aggravate the skin. As men get older they might want to use astringents as well as toners that contain glycolic or alpha hydroxy acids in order to maintain their skins’ elasticity. You should purchase products that are not sensitive to light.

Sunscreen Protection

Using sunscreen as part of a skin care for men program is essential. It is recommended that you use a sunscreen product with a SPF of fifteen or higher. The sun can cause brown spots to form and can make your thin wrinkles and lines look worse. Also, exercising can help you maintain good looking healthy skin since exercise stimulates the capillaries. Make sure you get the recommended amounts of vitamins E and C and avoid smoking cigarettes. These are some of the skin care tips for men that can keep your skin healthy and looking good.

Click Here for More Great Articles!

Has Your Skin Care Body Lotion Been Tested On Animals?

Thankfully, it’s getting easier and easier to find quality products like skin care body lotions that are cruelty free. “Cruelty free” means that the product was not tested on animals. This is another form of medical testing on animals, who often go through extremely painful procedures without any anesthetics or euthanization. These tests are considered unnecessary by a good portion of the scientific community. In just twenty years, the buying public has demanded less and less animal testing in their skin care body lotions and still gets great skin.

The Leaping Bunny Logo

Around 1996, there really was no national certification standard to make sure that those products listed as “cruelty free” really WERE cruelty free. In response to the confusion, in the city of brotherly love (Philadelphia), the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics was born. When a skin care body lotion or other kind of cosmetic meets their standards, they are allowed to use a logo of a leaping bunny.

Major Companies

Since 1996, some major players in the beauty care and cosmetics business have gone cruelty free and get the Leaping Bunny logo. And their quality hasn’t suffered at all. These companies include Avalon Natural Products, The Body Shop, Kiss My Face, Mary Kay, Paul Mitchell and Tom’s Of Maine. Some of these products are available in department stores, grocery stores and in specialty shops or websites.

Remember, the leaping bunny logo does not necessarily mean a product is organic. Although “organic” is more and more meaning “cruelty free”, there are some products and skin care body lotions that are organic, but are not cruelty free. You need to look for another label from the FDA (for you Americans) to see if the product is certified organic.

Affordable Luxury

Skin care body lotions are one of the most versatile and affordable beauty products. It feels good going on, it smells good for a long while and leaves you feeling pampered. They come in all kinds of scents and moisturizing content. They make thoughtful and inexpensive gifts, because they are the kind of thing every body needs but usually forget to buy.

Make sure the container says it is a body lotion, or “hand and body lotion”. Lotions just for the face are made of different stuff – and are usually quite expensive! Some intensive hand lotions are really only for super dry skin. A good bet is buying a skin care body lotion that is for normal or sensitive skins…that have the leaping bunny logo, of course.

Click Here for More Great Articles!

Some guy is giving you a \"Magic Code\" that pours money into your pocket!

Wow! ---> Some guy is giving you a "Magic Code" that when added to any Web site pours money into your pocket automatically 24/7/365!

...It‘s here: http://simplyart1.magiccode.hop.clickbank.net

Posted using ShareThis

Skin Care For Children’s Skin

Many people are now very conscious of the state of their skin. It is just a few decades ago that we became aware of the dangers of not taking skin care seriously. So, it is of no surprise that many parents also make it a point to look out for their child’s skin care. In fact, many people look out more for their child’s skin than their own.

Baby Skin Care

Babies have very sensitive skin. This is because they have yet to develop toughness and exposure to elements that may be abrasive to their skin but not to an adult’s skin. Baby skin care methods are just to use the mildest soaps and shampoos for cleansing them. The milder the soaps and shampoos sued for babies the better. As they grow older, parents may still use the mild soaps to cleanse their children, in fact, as long as these soaps perform their function well enough, adults and children can use mild soaps for cleansing.

The important thing to remember for baby skin care is to keep the skin clean. Frequent washing may strip off the natural moisture of the baby’s skin and this will lead to irritation and dryness making the skin susceptible to rash and skin diseases.

Kids Skin Care

Kids tend to get more dirty than babies who just stay in their cribs and play pens. Kids’ skin care entails vigorous washing to get rid of the grime and dirt that kids from three years to twelve years incur. Some parents use stronger soap or soaps that adults use thinking that their kids’ skin care can be the same as adults. Actually, if your child is used to mild soap and shampoo, it is better to continue using these for his or her skin care.

Most commercial soaps use harsh chemicals to ensure that they function well in cleaning our skin. Although they do clean our skin, they also strip it of the natural oils and moisture that we need to keep it elastic and healthy and this is not part of the necessary skin care for kids’ skin.

The important thing to remember for children’s skin care is to clean it gently. So, it is important to choose their soaps and shampoos well. Stay away from chemicals that may cause dryness and irritation. It is also best to teach children to car for their skin at an early age. Avoiding too much exposure to the sun during the peak times is something that they have to learn early on.

Click Here for More Great Articles!

Sensitive Skin Care Product – It can be Helpful

If you have sensitive skin and are shopping for products specifically designed for your type of skin look for products that do not contain perfume, colors or chemicals. People with sensitive skin have a quicker and usually a stronger reaction when exposed to cold and heat and are more susceptible to sunburns. Sensitive skin shows indications of dryness or being delicate and is susceptible to becoming damaged. People who have susceptible skin also seem to be vulnerable to allergic reactions and are inclined to have broken capillaries.

They will occasionally notice their skin becoming irritated and red with noticeable surface veins due to an adverse reaction to a variety of detergents, some types of cosmetics and alcohol. Sun screens are highly recommended for those who are trying to take care of sensitive skin. Be careful and select products that do not have fragrances since they might cause an allergic reaction and avoid PABA sunscreens.

Choose a mild soap, perhaps baby soap when washing your skin or you might want to consider using a cleansing product that does not contain soap. Make sure you thoroughly wash the soap from your skin and avoid irritating your skin by patting the skin with a soft, smooth towel. Experts in sensitive skin care suggest that if you are considering a new perfume or cosmetic item, place a small amount of the substance on the inside portion of your wrist to determine if your skin will have a negative reaction to the product. When taking care of sensitive skin using a moisturizing cream can be beneficial.

Sensitive Skin Care Product Advice

When purchasing cosmetic products, sunscreens and moisturizers make sure to check the labels and make sure they are hypo-allergenic. For sensitive skin care you should choose a sunscreen product that is not oil based and preferably comes in a gel substance. Talk to your doctor about the level of sunscreen that is appropriate for your sensitve skin. A minimum of SPF 15 is suggested by some experts. Select oil free cosmentics especially when shopping for a blusher and foundation products and apply only a small amount of the product to your sensitive skin. Search for cosmetics that are water based and are considered non- comedogenic which are products that do not clog the pores.

Experts recommend that you avoid washing your face more than twice a day. If you notice breakouts on your skin apply a cleanser which contains salicylic acid since it can exfoliate your pores. When selecting moisturizers you might want to consider products that contain salicylic acid. There are a variety of sensitive skin care products and treatments that are available.

Click Here for More Great Articles!

The Skinny On Proactiv/Proactive Skin Care

One of the best-selling skin care products meant mostly to tackle the zit problem is known as both Proactiv and Proactive skin care. The official spelling is Practiv, but many shops (even real world store circulars) will spell the name with the “e”. If you go online, the “e” version is used just as often as the non-“e” spelling. But no matter how you spell it, Proactive skin care products are hot.

The Zit Problem

With spokesperson Jessica Simpson fronting the Proactive skin care line up, literally millions is using the brand to tackle their zits. The basic reason why we get zits (acne, pimples, spots) is that out pores are dirty. It’s really just that simple (it has to be if Jessica Simpson is involved). But if you use harsh cleansers, that irritates your skin and, ironically, your skin is TOO clean. Your confused skin overcompensates for the disappeared natural skin oils by making a phenomenal amount.

The Zit Solution

Proactiv, or Proactive skin care products are the solution by following their simple to use system of three bottles to cleanse, tone and repair your skin. The first is a face wash called Renewing Cleanser, which preps your skin to better absorb the good stuff to follow by getting rid of oils, dirt and anything else blocking the pores.

After cleaning, you then use the alcohol-free Renewing Toner, which acts as your needed facial skin exfoliation. Exfoliating gets rid of dead skin cells, promotes skin circulation (another help in getting rid of toxins or dirt) and feels great! Along with cleansing, exfoliating also helps prepare your pores to better and more efficiently absorb the good stuff to come.

What is this good stuff? It’s the star of the Proactive skin care line up – the Repairing Lotion, which contains benzoyl peroxide and natural botanical ingredients. This helps protect your skin from further break outs and help reduce the pimples you already have. It can be used day or night, unlike some other acne skin care products.

The Proactive skin care product line up is NOT to be used with silicone sheets for facial scarring or with the prescription medicine Accutane. Proactive skin care products are not for the severe, painful, scarring kind of acne that needs prescription drugs like Accutane. It is also not to use Retin-A and Proactiv at the same time, but to alternate the days you use the products. Using Proactive skin care products will not help skin infections or problems like eczema. You need a doctor or dermatologist for that.

Click Here for More Great Articles!

What Is Organic About Organic Skin Care?

Organic skin care doesn’t mean you can use only twigs and dirt to take care of your skin. It’s a little more complicated than that. Organic skin care refers to far more than just the products that go on your skin. When you are buying organic, you are buying more than the organic skin care product itself. You also buying a better way to harvest, produce and test cosmetic products.

The Products

The organic skin care products you buy should include ingredients from herbs, botanicals, foods and other natural sources. Their carrier agents are from other naturally occurring ingredients, such as water, honey and natural soap. The materials used in the product should be all made free from pesticides, artificial fertilizers and any man-made synthesized materials. There is not to be any genetically modified material in it, either.

More and more, anything certified organic means it has not been tested on animals. These tests are useless medically and considered a wasteful and outdated form of testing by many in the scientific community. Some products proudly carry a “leaping bunny” label as being a neon sign that they do not test on animals. (Just having the words “cruelty free” does not mean they have stopped testing on animals). In case you are not sure if a company still tests on animals, just ask People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).

Who Says?

Just because a cream, lotion or soap has the word “organic” in one form or another on it, doesn’t mean that it’s certified organic. Who certifies this? So far, there is not an international organization that sets the standards, although France’s International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM) is close. Usually, each country has its own organic standards. For example, in America, rules for organic standards are set by the Federal Drug Administration (FDA), which follows the National Organic Program.

The FDA makes it clear that just because organic skin care products are organic, doesn’t mean they work any better than conventional skin care products. However, isn’t it good knowing that what you by and smooth all over yourself can lessen mankind’s harm on this planet? Well, it feels good for some of us, anyway!

If you are not entirely sure about how organic your organic skin care products are, you need to contact the company. They usually have websites and post their ingredients list online. They usually say whether their organic skin care products have a certain percentage of organic materials.

Click Here for More Great Articles!

Aromatherapy For Oily Skin Care

Aromatherapy can greatly help you with combination or oily skin care. Your skin will change throughout the course of your life, but usually everyone goes through an oily skin stage during adolescence. You can still need oily skin care all of your life. Sometimes you get combination skin, which are patches of dry areas like your cheeks contrasted with a really oily nose and forehead (called the T-zone).

First Tips

Your aromatherapy oily skin care solutions will not work if you don’t eat sensibly and exercise regularly. You also shouldn’t smoke or drink excessively. You should be drinking six glasses of water, flavored water or herbal teas per day. Water keeps the skin hydrated and keeps the organs functioning more efficiently.

Wash with warm, not scalding hot water. Don’t scrub at yourself as if you were trying to scrape paint off a wall – use your fingertips to massage in any aromatherapy oily skin products and pat gently dry with a towel. You only need to wash once or twice a day, unless you have been sweating or got excessively filthy.

So Many Scents, So Little Skin

Therapeutic grade essential oils that work best for oily skin care are geranium, lavender, cedarwood, palmarosa, niaouli, juniper berry, tea tree, ylang ylang, cypress, grapefruit and myrtle. Most aromatherapy books will also include bergamot, but that often leaves skin way too sensitive to sunlight.

For acne, you can put diluted neat tea tree on the spots. However, the smell might knock you sideways, so use this sparingly. Some people prefer lavender instead. Before you use these, do a test patch on your skin to be sure you can tolerate full strength lavender or tea tree. Place a drop on your arm or leg, leave it there for 24 hours and see if anything happens. If nothing happens, then you’re good to go.

You can also use aromatherapy for oily skin care in the form of weekly facial steams. There are some facial devices available, but you don’t need it. Stick your face over a bowl of steaming hot water that has 5-10 drops of one of the oils listed above. Drape a towel over your head and keep that position for five minutes. If you feel faint, though, stop and try again next week.

You can use a toner for oily skin care called flower water. These are best bought rather than made. For oily skin care, you want witch hazel, verbena water, orange-flower water and cornflower water. These are often sold wherever aromatherapy products are sold.

Click Here for More Great Articles!

How Natural Is That Natural Skin Care Product?

Why all of the fuss over natural stuff like natural skin care products, on store shelves and talked about on talk shows? Is it just an advertising gimmick – a new way of selling the same old crap? Honestly, what difference can it make if you use a man-made skin care product or one that’s touted as “natural”? Believe it or not, it does make a difference to your health, usually seen over the long term and reflected in your skin.

It’s A Skin Lotion – No, It’s An Engine Lubricant!

Many man made ingredients in modern skin care products are loaded with chemicals that, over time, really irritate the skin. There is also some worry about what these chemicals can do to your body, since they are absorbed into the skin. For example, one of these ingredients is called sodium laurel sulfate. You’ll see it in a lot of shampoos, body lotions and foaming cleansers – and also in machine lubricants. Ouch.

Seeing The Difference

Many not-so-natural skin care products still contain some natural ingredients, but only about 20% - 80%. If you are looking for 100% all natural skin care products, then you need to get your reading glasses on and read those ingredients labels. Unnatural ingredients usually have jawbreaker names that take up nearly a while line on the ingredients list. Natural ingredients include essential oils, minerals, water and fruit extracts. Things like shea cocoa butter are also natural. If you are not sure of an ingredient, then ask the company for more information or look up to see what the product is.

If you are looking for organic natural skin care products, then you need to see that the product is certified organic by the FDA (if you live in America). Many countries now have national standard setting organizations, such as China and the European Union. Anything considered organic by the French group IFOAM (International Federation Of Agricultural Methods) is a plus; these standards are considered stricter than the FDA’s.

When In Doubt, Make Your Own

If you are getting a headache from figuring out what goes on your skin and what shouldn’t, you can always make your own natural skin care products. There are many easy to use aromatherapy and natural skin care recipe books, magazines and websites. You will use things like water, honey, arrowroot powder, lemon juice, herbal teas and essential oils.

And remember – no natural skin care product will help your skin if you are not exercising regularly and eating a sensible, low-protein, balanced diet.

Click Here for More Great Articles!

What Is Natural Skin Care?

Natural skin care is the process of caring for one’s skin using products that are all natural and have no essences of harsh or harmful chemicals. Nowadays, people want more and more to be as clean as possible and as natural as possible, so they go for the natural skin care products that are derived from herbs and other natural sources.

Why We Need Natural Skin Care

The reason why we need natural skin care all the more today is because many products are derived from harmful sources that could damage our skin after long term use. It is not only the damage to our skin that we must be afraid of but also the disease and sickness that may result from using chemical based skin care products. Natural skin care products have lesser risk of getting us sick and damaging our skin.

Using natural skin care products for our general health and care for our skin is also a great way of going organic. Organic skin care products help save the environment and lessen the risk of contaminating our earth with harmful chemicals and pesticides. Using natural skin care products will also lessen your family’s exposure to harmful ingredients that may pass from you to them.

Natural skin care also means that you are taking better care of your skin and are aware of the dangers of using chemical based products. By using the natural method of caring for your skin, you can be assured that it will keep its elasticity longer and be younger looking.

Which Are Natural Skin Care Products

Most natural skin care products promote themselves as all natural or organic. You can read the label if you are in doubt regarding the authenticity of a product that claims to be organic or all natural. In some cases, there is small print that says how many percent of the ingredients are organic or natural since the government requires a statement of this. Many herbs are really great for natural skin care such as chamomile, jojoba oil, honey and shea butter.

Bear in mind that the natural method and processing of the products help to make it natural. Other natural ingredients are processed using chemicals which defeat the purpose of using natural products and them processing them in an inorganic way. Try to get organic all natural products, stressing the word organic; since this means that it has been processed using natural methods.

Click Here for More Great Articles!

How Are Herbal Skin Care Products Any Different?

There are a lot of labels flung at consumers who want a good quality, economical skin care product that will be safe to use in the long term. These labels include “Organic” and “All Natural” and “Herbal” skin care products from lotions, to soaps, wrinkle creams and acne solutions. What makes herbal skin care products worth buying?

Gentler For You

Herbal skin care products are not made with any materials that are synthesized, or man-made in laboratories. Usually, they have ingredients that are about as long as your arm. What herbal skin care products do contain are botanical extracts, essential oils, minerals, salts, pastes made from natural sources like shea butter from shea nuts, fruit and vegetable parts.

These synthesized products have only been around for less than one hundred years. They can, in some people, produce allergies, itching, sores and who knows what else. It is suspected that long term use of these skin care products may lead to harm. Although we don’t eat these products, we still absorb them into our bodies through our skin.

Vegetarian Soaps

And if you are trying to go vegan or vegetarian, you will have to use special soaps. Did you know that animal fats are usually used to make soaps? You would need vegetarian soaps, which are often sold in shops specializing in herbal skin care products. They use oils like castor, palm, coconut and olive oils with herbs and essential oils. The binding agents are usually materials like cocoa butter. Then, they need to be dried for a while. This makes the soap making process longer, which means they usually cost more than “carnivorous” soaps.

Facial And Body Scrubs

A really fun way to indulge in herbal skin care is to get an exfoliating product called a “face scrub” or “body scrub.” It looks kind or like gritty sludge. You need to make sure the abrasive grit, as well as the cleaner, is made of natural materials like ground apricot kernels, almond shells, fine sand or silica. The cleaner (or sludge base) parts usually are made with oatmeal or ground-up almonds.

You need to wet your skin first, then apply the scrub and massage away. This gives your circulatory system a workout and clears away dead skin, dirt and excess oils that may be clogging your pores. Not only that, it feels good. You only need to do this a couple of times a week or less, or you might really dry out your skin.

Click Here for More Great Articles!

Facial Skin Care Tips

Our face is usually the first part of our body that another person will look at when you meet. Practicing the right kind of facial skin care methods can help you maintain your facial skin without exposing it to harsh chemicals that may cause blemishes and irritation.

Promoting Beautiful Facial Skin

Facial skin care needs to be mild and not contain chemicals that may damage your face. Our facial skin is more sensitive than skin in our limbs and therefore, you cannot use the same products that you use on your body on your face. Proper facial skin care dictates that you should get separate products for body and face unless it states that one product can be used for both.

Concentrate on what type of facial skin you have and buy facial skin care products accordingly. This is a surefire way of facial skin care that will help you manage and control whatever skin problems you have. Oily skin needs facial skin care products that control the sebum but at the same time moisturizes it to prevent it from drying up. Dry skin will need a moisturizer for proper facial skin care to continually nourish it.

Acne is a common facial skin problem. It is often caused by poor hygiene and overproduction of sebum. This does not mean however that you should use stronger cleansing products or try to dry up the sebum in your face. The right facial skin care for acne prone skin is to consult a dermatologist for acne that shows no signs of abating even after the use of over the counter acne medication. There are prescription medications for acne which vary from pills to laser treatment of acne scars.

Use facial sun block as much as possible to lessen your skin’s exposure to the sun. The sun is one of the main causes of wrinkles and ageing skin. Facial skin care includes using a sun block cosmetic or products that can effectively reduce sun exposure and at the same time moisturize your skin.

If you have sensitive skin, it is better to use a mild facial cleanser to maintain your skin. Sensitive skin is prone to strong fragrances and harsh chemical so make sure you use pure botanicals and organic facial skin care products for your face. Bear in mind that our skin will absorb whatever facial skin care products’ ingredients we apply on it. So, chemicals and other dangerous ingredients will enter our bodies and may also do damage.

Click Here for More Great Articles!

Dry Skin Care – How to Improve Your Skin

Dry skin can cause an uncomfortable feeling and is usually unattractive, thus people with dry skin our looking for solutions to their problem. Dry skin is typically not a serious health problem however it changes healthy skin cells into withered cells and often produces wrinkles. Some people have skin disorders categorized as ichtyosis which are severe dry skin conditions that are usually due to heredity.

Dry skin does not have the ability to hold moisture. People with extreme dry skin have cracking signs that are noticeable. People with dry skin might notice their condition becoming worse when exposed to wind, hot and cold weather conditions, a low humidity environment and air conditioning.

Treatment

For dry skin care doctors typically recommend using moisturizers which reduce the amount of moisture that escapes your skin by providing a seal. Thick moisturizers are preferred such as Cetaphil and Eucerin. It is also recommended to purchase cosmetic products that contain moisturizing substances. For those with extremely dry skin you might want to use oil on your skin such as baby oil and apply it while your skin is moist.

For dry skin care, experts recommend that you choose cleansing creams or mild skin cleansing products instead of using soap on your skin. If you want to use soaps you might want to consider selecting soaps such as Dove or Neutrogena which are milder than basic soaps. Deodorants can create problems for dry skin as well as anti-bacterial detergent products. When choosing dry skin care products try a variety of products and find the items that help make your skin feel smooth and soft after you apply them.

Showering and Bathing

Dermatologists recommend that you avoid using hot water while showering or bathing since hot water seems to reduce the amount of oil your skin contains. Also, it is preferable that you take a short shower or bath. After washing your face or taking a shower pat your skin with a soft towel and proceed to moisturize your skin by applying a cream or oil. A useful dry skin care recommendation is to use a humidifier in order to prevent hot, dry air from drying out your skin and causing uncomfortable itchiness.

Cotton and silk which are natural fibers are the preferred material when choosing clothes to wear. These natural fibers provide an opportunity for your skin to breath. However, wool is a natural fiber you should avoid wearing since it can cause irritation of the skin. Another dry skin care suggestion is to choose a detergent for washing your clothes that does not contain perfumes or dyes. These are some of the dry skin care suggestions that can improve your dry skin.

Click Here for More Great Articles!

Ways To Use Your Aromatherapy Skin Care Products

If you are really dabbling in aromatherapy, you’ll have some dark glass bottles of essential oils and not much ion the way of instructions on how to use them. There are may ways to use aromatherapy essential oils, including making them part of your skin care regimen. The more you get a feel for aromatherapy, the more ideas for making your own aromatherapy skin care products will pop up.

Shoo, Fly, Don’t Bother Me

Aromatherapy skin care products don’t just make you smell better and feel better – but they also can make fantastic insect deterrents. And they are not loaded with the harsh, irritating chemicals that can be synthesized products. The essential oils that bugs find nauseating include tea tree, citronella, lavender, cedarwood and lemon-scented eucalyptus (which is different from plain eucalyptus). Here’s what you can do with them to protect your skin:

Mix one part essential oil to an unscented, plain body lotion. This aromatherapy skin care product can then do double duty to moisturize your skin and keep the bugs away.

Dab on neat like a perfume. You need to dilute the essential oils in carrier oils like olive oil, then apply. This writer’s skin tolerates full strength tea tree and lavender oil, but do a test first to see if your body tolerates a drop at full strength.

Make a spritz, which is a multi-use aromatherapy skin care product. Take flower water or just regular water in an empty spray bottle and add about six drops of essential oil. Spritz on when needed.

Deep Steam Cleaning

An intensive homemade aromatherapy skin care product is steaming your face once a week or less (depending on your circumstances). This is a great way to clean the toxins out of your pores and softens the skin. Do not steam if you have sunburn, sores or if your skin is very sensitive.

You need to be sitting while doing this, and keep a glass of cold water nearby in case you feel faint. Get a bowl, a kettle full of water boiling, a towel and your favorite essential oil (tea tree, lavender and ylang ylang works with most skin types). Pour the boiling water into the bowl. Add six to eight drops. Close your eyes (or else you’re eyeballs will sting) and lean over the steam. Place the towel over your head. Stay like that for no more than ten minutes. If you fee faint, come up for air and stop.

Click Here for More Great Articles!

Men: Make Your Own Antiaging Skin Care Products

If you like making anything, guys – from croissants to customized cars – then you will enjoy yet another chance to exercise your creative muscles. You don’t need to bother with those expensive and dubious antiaging skin care products on infomercials and web banner ads. And, thankfully, men’s skin needs are different from women’s skin care needs. Just make your own antiaging skin care products.

Egg Mask

This is a simple homemade antiaging skin care product if you have about ten minutes to devote to fighting those wrinkles, written and used by a guy. You need one egg, milk, a mixing bowl and a willingness to get your hands squishy. Separate the egg yolk from the white. Put the yolk in the bowl (do whatever you want with the whites). Add 2 teaspoons of milk. Beat together, as if you were going to make scrambled eggs.

Wash your face, dry it, and then slap this stuff on. You can use your hands, a paintbrush, or whatever works best for you. Leave it on for five minutes. Wash it off. If you need to, follow with a men’s moisturizer, made specifically for men.

Drink Plenty Of Water

Just drinking at least six glasses of water a day is another antiaging skin care product! This means water, flavored water or herbal teas – NOT beer, not soda, not coffee, even. They will all dehydrate your skin which will lead it to dry out and magnify any wrinkles you might be getting or already have. Keeping your skin hydrated plumps it out and keeps it ready for action.

Eye Creams

The area where wrinkles gather the most and seem to reproduce overnight is around the eyes. You might want to use natural anti aging skin care for your eye wrinkles. You need a blender, mixer or food processor for this. If you don’t have one, this eye cream is a great excuse to get one.

Put in your blender/food processor two tablespoons of unsweetened applesauce and slices of a small raw potato. Turn that stuff into a paste. Now, smear it around your eyes – but not in your eyes. Don’t rush. Then, soak a washcloth with warm water. Sit down. Lay the hot towel over your face and say “AHH” for five minutes. Then wash it all off with warm (not scalding hot) water. Pat your face dry, don’t scrub at it. This will help your skin make the most of your homemade antiaging skin care product.

Click Here for More Great Articles!

Is There Such A Thing As All Natural Skin Care?

Yes, there is such a thing as all natural skin care, and very rarely does it come in bottles or tubes. Since the skin is an indicator of our overall health, you need to work on your overall health in order to get great, clear, toned skin. You still need to clean, exfoliate and moisturize your skin, but those steps alone will not guarantee great skin. In all natural skin care, you walk on the road to great skin holistically by doing the things you should be doing for your health anyway.

Diet And Water

One of the most important – and overlooked – steps in all natural skin care is paying attention to your diet and water intake. If all you eat is cheeseburgers and Coke, the look of your skin is going to be the least of your health problems. One of the side benefits of eating a balanced, varied diet low in protein and high in fiber is that your skin looks better.

For the skin especially, you need to drink plenty of good water – at least 6 glasses per day. Herbal teas and flavored water can substitute for clean water, but nothing with milk or caffeine. Milk is more of a food than a drink and is rich in protein. Caffeine dehydrates the body and dries out the skin. Caffeine is in fizzy soft drinks, coffee, tea, chocolate and most energy drinks.

Wash In Moderation

Washing in water and soaps or facial cleansers low in synthesized products only a few times a day is needed, depending on how dirty you get or how much you sweat in that day. Some people only really need to wash their faces once a day. If you wash too much, you strip your skin of its natural oils and then the skin gets paranoid. “What – there’s no oil – gotta make more and more!” Soon, you can’t wash enough to keep up with the extreme oil production. This can put a damper on any other all natural skin care procedures.

Exfoliation

One of the other steps in all natural skin care is exfoliating with a brush or reusable rough pad for the skin rather than relying on expensive man-made creams to do it for you. And remember drinking all of that water? That also helps take away toxins from the body when stimulated by the pleasant scratching of an exfoliating pad or even a massage. Eating a heart healthy diet will also help the body get rid of toxins and help your skin in the process.

Click Here for More Great Articles!

Acne Treatment Skin Care – Helpful Tips

There are basically three types of acne which are mild, moderate and severe acne. Each variety has its own specific treatment suggestions. Numerous treatments for acne problems are available and the best choice is to consult a dermatologist instead of relying on advice from friends. If you have a serious acne problem or your acne has become worse you should consult immediately with a dermatologist and let him provide you with an acne treatment skin care program that will help you reduce your acne problem.

Mild Acne Skin Care Treatment

The procedure for taking care of a mild case of acne is to make sure you wash the acne affected area twice a day with soap and warm water. Most experts recommend you apply a cream containing salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide to the effected area. These products eliminate bacteria located on the epidermis. Be satisfied with a gradual improvement of your acne problem. Some dermatologists will also suggest certain vitamins that can help with the look of your skin.

Moderate Acne Skin Care Treatment

Moderate acne is characterized by pimples known as whiteheads and blackheads located on approximately half of your facial area. If you have moderate acne make sure you consult with a dermatologist as soon as possible. With moderate forms of acne dermatologists typically prescribe retinoid creams or antimicrobial creams. Some dermatologists will also recommend using oral medications for acne skin care treatment. Some experts recommend combining topical creams with treatments such as light therapy. See your dermatologist immediately because moderate acne can cause scarring if not properly treated.

Severe Acne Skin Care Treatment

People with severe acne typically have very noticeable inflamed pimples that sometimes resemble a cyst. When acne gets to this stage a lot of harm has been done to the effected area and a significant amount of scarring has typically been formed. Hopefully people with acne problems have consulted with a dermatologist before their acne situation has become this severe. When acne reaches this stage dermatologists usually recommend very aggressive treatments and do everything they can to prevent permanent scaring from forming.

If your acne is at the severe level you will probably be given an anti-biotic and a medication such as Acutane. You might have to undergo what is known as acne surgery which utilizes drainage techniques. Your dermatologist might also recommend corticosteroid injections. Make sure you consult with your doctor and not follow the recommendations of your friends. There are dermatologists available that can provide you with an acne skin care treatment that is appropriate for you.

Click Here for More Great Articles!

Winter Skin Care

There are so many tricks for good skin care that you can do everyday. Did you also know that you need to take care of your skin according to the season? Seasonal care is very important because of the different conditions that are going to happen to your skin when it reacts to different things like the cold and hot weather. The holidays are when you want to look your best and your skin is going to need a little extra attention. You need to learn the season and what you should do as your skin care routine so that you are sure to have beautiful skin and keep healthy even in the wintertime.

Winter is one of the two major times when your skin is going to deal with the intense climate. Because of the cold and inclement weather that comes along with this season, it is one of the most dangerous times of year for your body and skin especially for the face. Remember that hot water especially when you first come outside from the cold is very harsh for your face. Yu should use mild water to cleanse your face.

Water is a very important part to do right in the wintertime. Washing temperature when you are inside is not the only important thing. We have to know that the proper amount of moisture in our skin is very important. It is very critical to remember that water freezes outside. If you are using a moisturizer that is water based, your skin could feel those terrible effects when you go outdoors. You need to look for oil-based moisturizers instead and if you have oily skin, talk to your doctor about different ways to treat and get the moisture that you do need.

When you are outside in the cold air and wind you will see that it can cause your face to become dry. However that is not the only thing that you will have to worry about when you are outside during the holiday season. You should know that the sun will play a huge part in skin health during the summer and it will in the winter as well. The sun does not warm the earth as much as it does in other seasons. You can even get sunburned in the winter if you are outside too long without the proper sun protection. You should look for the products that have the right sunscreen in the m so that you are able to protect your skin from the dangerous sunrays during the year in the summer and winter months.

Click Here for More Great Articles!

Men's Skin

Many teen boys take care of their skin because if they do not do it right, acne can become a large problem. However once your hormones settle and acne is not a problem anymore, men will usually drop their skin care routine or ignore essential parts of it. This can cause problems with different skin disease in the future. Men should listen to this and if you want to keep that great looking face that you worked hard for in the past, you need to think about continuing the right cares for your skin.

First, you need to determine your skin type. For the men that have not noticed their skin since the teenage years, it may have changed since then as your body as become more mature. If you rarely have skin problems you probably have “normal” skin but others may experience dry skin, oily skin, sensitive skin, or combination skin.

You can use skin care products that are made especially for your skin. You should avoid using harsh soaps that are made for your body on your face. These will strip your more sensitive facial skin of the natural oils and this will leave it dry and irritated. You should remember that you need to wash your skin twice everyday. This would be one time in the morning to take out the oils and debris from sleeping and again before you go to bed at night to have the dirt and sweat that has built up during the day.

If you have sensitive skin, you should have a toner to help your face stay healthy and look younger. You should look for a toner that is not alcohol based to give your skin the very best care. This product will restore the normal pH balance of your skin and give it an extra cleansing.

You should also remember to moisturize your skin. If you have no moisture, your skin will age faster and be more inclined to peel and flake off. If you have oily or combination skin, you will still need to moisturize. Look for products that will help your skin type. If you work in the sun for any period of time, you should use a moisturizer that has sun block in it. Sunscreen helps protects your face from skin cancer as well as keep you looking young.

Men who take care of their skin will look younger longer and are not likely to develop those age spots, acne, and other problems of the skin that will happen later in life. You should remember to ask your doctor or dermatologist if you have any problems or questions that you need to know about so that you can have the appropriate skin care for your face all of the time.

Click Here for More Great Articles!

Makeup and Your Skin

Many women use make up everyday. Most will use make up during special occasions? If you are completely covering your face in make up or simply wearing some lipstick and eyeliner, it is important to use products that are safe for your skin. You should know that there are major cosmetic companies that make products made with chemicals that are harmful to your face. Learning how you can take out the dangerous products and use only good ones is important for your health.

You may wander way companies would use something dangerous in their products. It is simple, businesses have one goal and that is to make money. Cosmetic ingredients that are not safe are usually cheaper than the alternative make up that is being produced. Harmful ingredients are going to create a better-looking product in some cases. They do not tell you that after using the beautiful colors of eye shadow, your face may break out!

There are however, many companies realize that their customers are becoming smarter and want to know about their products before they use them. Our facial skin is very sensitive and it is very important to use the best products that you can. If you are looking for inexpensive or high end products, there are cosmetics, moisturizers, toners, and many other items that are going to be available out there for you so that you are not risking harmful consequences.

Some of the common dangerous ingredients to look out for when purchasing these items for your face are Methyl, Propyl, Butyl, and Ethyl. These are very well known toxins and can cause allergic reaction in many people. These chemicals are extremely cheap and are often used to kill bacterial growth in your products. Many companies are using them.

You should also be careful of Propylene Glycol and DMDM Hydrantion. These products are used in anti-freeze! Many of these products have been linked to abnormal kidney and liver function and can actually cause permanent damage to your organs.

You need to be very careful of what you put on your lips too. Most of the synthetic colors like C Yellow 6 can be dangerous to your skin and your body and when you put this chemical on your lips, you are eating poison to say the least. One time may not affect you, but after wearing the lipstick for a long period of time, you can start to feel the results. It is like smoking cigarettes on a regular basis.

So that you are safe, you should ask your dermatologist or doctor to recommend about what kinds of products to use. You need to be sure that your products are safe so that you can be safe and healthy. The healthier your skin is the younger you will look and you will be happier too.

Click Here for More Great Articles!

Dry Skin

Sometimes skin has a low level of sebum, which is the natural oil that is produced by skin glands. It is called dry skin and it cannot hold moisture and will look parched and feel tight when washed and in some extreme times, it can show some signs of chapping and cracking. The wind and very high or low temperatures can steal the natural moisture and make the skin feel tight across the bones. Dry skin can cause embarrassing flakes and any mark or dry skin will be very dull and show up on cheeks and near the eyes. You may also find dry skin on the knees, hands and in the mid section.

The most common cause of dry skin is the lack of sufficient moisture from sebum. In some cases, this can be due to genetic conditions. There are also environmental causes like exposure to sun, cold, cosmetics, chemicals, and wind can cause dry skin too. Other reasons can be poor diet. A diet that is deficient in vitamin A and B is more likely to take away the skin’s moisture. Skin diseases like dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, or seborrhea are causes of dry skin. It can be a result also of other conditions like diabetes and hypothyroidism and the use of certain drugs like diuretics, antispasmodics, and antihistamines.

Dry skin is also going to need a lot of easy cleansing, massage to stimulate the sebum production and a lot of quality in moisture and oil. When you are washing your skin with soap it will take out the natural protective oil along with the dirt. Use of a good moisturizer will return lost water content to the skin. You can use neutral not acidic or alkaline products for washing the skin and abstain from using commercial soaps. After the second cleansing you need to treat the skin lightly with moisturizing cream.

Once you have taken a bath or shower, you can apply baby oil over the skin. The area that is around the eyes needs to have a bigger application of the oil. You can also massage your face and apply some homemade remedies that are suggested by a doctor.

Every morning you should treat your skin with a spray of mineral water. You should then apply some beauty mask for dry skin and mix together one egg, teaspoon of honey, half teaspoon of olive oil and a couple drops of rose water. This makes a great mask to use on your face and body.

Eating a good balanced diet that is loaded with vitamins and minerals is a great idea. You should include some sulfur containing foods like onion, garlic, asparagus, and eggs as part of your diet. You can eat more carrots and yellow and orange vegetables. You should refrain from alcohol, caffeine, coffee, tea, and sugary drinks. Other items to limit are French fries, and other junk food that are high in grease or fat. This will help to keep your skin healthy and stop it from drying out.

Click Here for More Great Articles!

Tips for your skin if you have diabetes

Diabetes is a problem in which your body does not produce insulin the right way. This disease is going to affect millions of people every single year. This will include children and when it goes uncontrolled, it can be very dangerous and even cause death. What does this have to do with your skin you may wander? The answer is because it will affect the body and diabetes can cause different skin problems too. People will usually see a doctor because they think that they have skin disorder and that is how they find out they are suffering from diabetes.

If you do have diabetes, there are different things that you can do to protect your skin. If you are concerned about your skin, you should know that the sun can do damage on your body too. The UV Index is something that most people have heard about and know that UV rays can cause skin damage and even cancer in some people. When you know and understand how the UV index works, you will have a good idea of the suns effects and what you can do to protect your skin and body in the best way.

UV rays are also known as ultraviolet rays. They can damage your skin and eyes and we have to be worried about this so that we wear protective clothing and use sunscreen and sunglasses to stay safe in the summer and in the winter months. In the last few decades, the UV index has been included in many of the weather reports in order to help people see the strength of ultraviolet rays that come from the sun on any day.

You need to first of all realize that the readings are taken at noon so the numbers are at their peak. This means that the sun’s rays are not always as harmful as what you see on the weather reports. This does not man that you should not wear sunscreen all the time. However you should not worry about the sun so much that you do not even go outside. The sun can be very healthy and uplifting for our body as well.

The UV index is going to read the sun’s effect with numbers and zero is the lowest. On many days, the UV index will be between zero and ten. A reading that is higher than ten will mean that it is more dangerous and this would be especially for anyone with fair skin. Being safe with sunscreen every time you go outside no matter what the reading is will help protect you. Zero to two is the “minimal” UV index rating and three or four means the danger is “low”. Having a 5 or 6 will show that “moderate” dangers are present and a seven to ten is “high” danger. Anything that is above ten is “very high.” You need to think about staying indoors if the reading is going to reach above ten.

The UV index is very useful because it is going to measure not only the heat from the sun but also the ozone, clouds, haze and pollution in any area on any day. These things are going to block out some of the dangers in the rays so a UV index will measure more than just how nice and sunny it is outdoors. You need to know that it is crucial that you protect your skin from the sun as well as make sure that you are catching some of the beautiful sunshine as often as you can.

Click Here for More Great Articles!

Oily Skin

Oily skin is not fun to have. It can show up to be thick and dull looking with coarse pores and pimples forming. This is due to the oil glands of the skin and that they are overactive and oil will build up in the skin. This will make it more assessable to forming blackheads. The skin will look to have a greasy shine to it and this will make it look coarse. Many do not have oily skin and instead they have combination skin, which means that in some areas it may be dry or just normal in others. Oily skin does have its disadvantages and the main one is that it will age slower than other skin types.

Because of the dry skin, genetics will be more at play in the case of oily skin. There are other things that will contribute to oily skin conditions and they will include diet, hormones, cosmetics, pregnancy, contraceptives and environmental conditions like hotter and humid climates. Because the levels of hormones are high, especially testosterone, this will make the oil glands over active, oily skin is going to be more noticeable in the teenage years. The same reason will be for oily skin conditions in women that are pregnant or in menopause.

There are regular cleansing routines with hot water and soap that is needed to prevent oil build up and clogging of skin pores. You need to be careful that you do not use harsh soaps and other products that will make your skin dry. If you are using dehydrating products on the skin, the upper layer will go dry and shrink. This will result in the obstruction with the flow of oil through the pores. The result is going to clogging of the pores.

You need to wash the skin with hot water that is comfortable for you. Hot water will dissolve the oil better. Do not use cleansing creams. You need to go for an antibacterial cleansing lotion or a mild medicated soap to do this. When you are done cleaning, treat the skin with a natural and oil free moisturizer.

If your skin is too oily, and you are under the age of thirty, you should do four cleanings a day and use little or no moisturizer after cleansing. Use your fingers to massage your face while you are cleansing.

A clay or mud mask will help you to take care of the oily conditions of the skin. For sensitive skin, white or rose colored clays are better to use as a mask. Before putting on makeup, a woman may want to use antiseptic day cream that will reduce the activity of oil glands.

There are diets that are high in protein but are going to lack the sugar, fluids and salt that are recommended for anyone with oily skin problems. Eating vegetables and fruits are defiantly going to help you. You especially want the ones that are rich in vitamin B2. These will be whole grains, beans, nuts, and royal jelly. You should use minimum oil in your diet and stay away from alcohol, soda, sugar filled drinks, chocolate and many other junk food items. You need to talk to your doctor or dermatologist about your skin conditions and find out what is best for you.

Click Here for More Great Articles!

Natural Products

There are so many different professional models that are often said to have the natural look. This means that they are appearing to have little or no makeup on in order to define the everyday look of that intended audience. It is no secret that these models are working with make up artists behind the scenes and are done up to look as thought they are perfect even when they get out of bed in the morning. To get this same look, we purchase makeup and many times these “natural” girls were advertising them. In the fashion world, the word natural also means something else. It is a word that we associate with fresh, safe and organic types of items. This is what everyone wants in today’s world because we are trying to focus on the environment and many make up companies have lines that include natural products.

This “natural” makeup is considered to be safe. Is it? If you are reading the label on the back of your “natural” face wash or “natural” toner, you may see a lot of different chemical type words that you cannot pronounce. Natural does not mean natural these days so you have to be careful when you are purchasing them. This is true for products that are marked as natural and are usually more expensive than the other cosmetics.

The problem is with regulating these laws. “Natural” is a word that can be used by companies with little truth involved. These laws will help to regulate advertising a product as natural when they are not so natural. Natural products will have natural elements. The lipstick that you buy may contain some plants that were grown organically, but that is without the use of chemicals. The advertisements put this fact on the package and they will ignore the fact that the plants at the lab are mixed with a number of synthetic or man made ingredients too.

How can you tell if a product is really natural? This is easier than you would think. Turn the box over and look. There are thousands of synthetic ingredients that are used in make up all the time. By finding the natural products we can be sure that we are taking good care of our skin. If your product contains fragrance, lanolin, mineral oil, sodium hydroxide, talc, or products that you cannot even say, you should not believe that it is natural. If you have any questions there are professionals that can help you check out the good products and leave the bad ones behind. If you want natural products, you should be able to find them and not to be stuck with products that are bad. If you want some natural products you will be able to find them and not be stuck with products pretending to be natural.

Click Here for More Great Articles!

Fragrances and Your Skin

There are so many different fragrances out there on the market today. Because skin problems can cause discomfort and even embarrass us, they should not make us hide ourselves away from the rest of the world. There are two more common skin disorders that are known and they are acne and eczema.

Acne is mostly found in teenagers and it is very common among adults as well. It is said that there is one out of every four adults that will have to go through acne blemishes at some point in their life. However, many wander what really causes these outbreaks.

Acne can be due to many different factors that include hormones, heredity, stress, and medications. It is important to know that acne is not caused by any one factor alone. Many people believe that people with acne are not clean or they eat too much grease or fat. However this is just a myth.

The fact is that acne has nothing to do with your lifestyle or your skin’s origin. When oil gets trapped below the surface of your skin, it can cause bacteria to start multiplying. This is what will usually cause your skin to become irritated while developing pimples and blemishes.

What can we do to fight an unwelcome skin disorder? First of all we need to recommend that you wash your skin once or twice a day with a good cleanser. You need to stay away form cleansers that contain harsh acids because this will only irritate your skin further. To avoid irritation you should never scrub your face. It is best to use only your fingertips when you are washing and this will limit the sensitivity in your skin and keep your pores clean.

Another problem with the skin is eczema. This will intrude upon 15 million Americans and eczema can show up in a many ways. It is usually going to appear as a dry patch of skin that is red and irritated and it can also lead to cracking, itching, blisters, and seeping sores.

Eczema is known to be a hereditary condition but it can also be brought on by other reasons. There are things like irritants such as colognes, perfumes, detergents, soaps, household chemicals, and of course stress can bring on the eczema symptoms.

You may wander how you can combat this disorder. The first thing is to avoid any potential triggers like any of the above. Prevention is the best medicine for most skin conditions, and eczema is no exception to the rule. If you already have eczema, you should not get upset. There are many creams and ointments that are going to help treat the symptoms of it.

The best advice for any skin problem is to get help forms a good dermatologist. The professional help will have the skills and the tools that are needed to address and treat your skin the right way. Also you can regain your confidence and get back to a normal life without worrying about your skin breaking out.

Click Here for More Great Articles!

Your Acne and the Society (Social impacts of acne to a person)

“Some people think that the physical things define what’s within… So full of the superficial…”

We could not deny the fact that in this world of beauty magazines, you would always feel that there is a need to look good. What would you feel when there are red oily humps on your face? Of course, this would matter much.

When one has ACNE, it would definitely cause an effect that would let the person not only feel a certain “missing ____” inside. Not only that, the following are even worse outcomes brought about by having ACNE in connection with the present society:

· Social withdrawal
· Decreased self-esteem
· Reduced self-confidence
· Poor body image
· Embarrassment
· Feelings of depression
· Anger
· Preoccupation
· Frustration
· Higher rate of unemployment

There are 3 key points to consider in seeking for the best way of solving acne problems:

Solution takes time so never resort to “fast-promise” remedy. Bear in mind that it will not get healed over night; it is a case of patience and dedication. Patience to wait for the right time to heal and dedication to do one’s regimen for treatment are all needed.

Not all methods will work for all. Do not think that the method for A and B are also good for you. Each of us has a unique skin type so consider all options and be keen in choosing one.

You may need a dermatologist’s advice. Do not experiment this time. Acne is a sensitive skin problem so it needs delicate way of treatment. Seek the expert’s help or else you will end up with a worsen condition.
Society favors those who look good. We do not have to look perfect in order to meet that standard. We just have to have the confidence and it could be obtained if one feels comfortable with his or her self. This is achieved when you get the healthy skin you want.

Click Here for More Great Articles!

When it is Not Fun to be a Kid

There is this so-called stage in our life when we experience the numerous changes in us be it physically or other aspects. It is another thing that you could use. And this could be found in facial washes or facial pads. This could be very helpful to helping your pores be unclogged and prevent the growth of pimples or even the case of acne. Again, you have to be very careful in using it too so that you would not have even those very bad outcomes.

These two: benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid are very useful treatment aids you could use. As recommended by the experts, you have to treat your skin affected with acne with more care and more caution. There are some helpful tips you must consider in order for you to gradually get that acne cured or if not at least, not let your condition turn even worse.

These are the things you must do and embrace as habits that you may be able to achieve better skin.

*The simplest way is by washing and cleaning your skin gently.

There are gentle soaps that would surely wash your skin mildly. You are of course not allowed to use soaps that are that strong for they may leave harsh effects on your skin. Toners and cleansers are not also recommended for they have active components that may worsen your skin’s condition. When you feel the need of a toner or a cleanser, see to it that it has an approval from your dermatologist or else you would just cry more and have even the worse acne condition.

Always see to it that you do not use skin products like skin scrubs for they would surely harm your skin. Be very careful in treating your skin, if you would not, you would definitely regret the outcomes. So, be disciplined and do not risk the health of your skin just for temporary things.

*For men, shave carefully

In order not to increase the possibility of harm that your skin might get due to the things you do or the products you use. Well, for men who shave off their skin hair, it is very advisable that they shave carefully and use cream or soap before doing so. The soap or cream would make the hair softer. Be sure to choose the right shaver as well.

Shaving is a really hygienic routine and sees to it that you do it properly without harming your skin. You have to remind yourself of this for it is really very important.

*Choose cosmetics carefully.

This is a special condition when you have acne. Cosmetics must be chosen well most especially, they are recommended by your dermatologist. When you have cosmetics that are needed to be changed, you need to switch to products that are oil free and are noncomedogenic. But, there are cases that the use of cosmetics is of no good at all. So, in this case, it would be best to leave your skin free of cosmetics.

These are just some of the things you need to consider as reminders for those who have acne. The right caution and care would surely give you the best results.

Click Here for More Great Articles!

Remedies of Nature: Acne Treatment

Every person knows the value of our face. The better it is, the more advantageous it gets. Before anything else, it is the first thing others look at whenever they see you. In general, our confidence relies on our contentment to our physical appearance. When one thinks he or she looks good, the confidence really exudes.

For growing up, the growth of pimples is really a major concern. For those who do not have problems involving the face, congratulations! For those who are crying over it, there is a bright light at the end of the tunnel!

Is acne your problem? Are you spending too much money for chemical remedy? Do you want to apply a remedy but you are afraid it may be harsh? Try the natural way of treating your acne. You do not have to go that far… The treatment is right in your home. The doctor is right within you.

The most effective beauty tip of all times is: drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. Hydrating your body will help you get rid toxins. Love your body and love your skin.

Healthy and clean acts may also help. Make sure that you do not leave makeup products on your skin because it contributes to clogging your pores, causing more pimples and blackheads. Do not sleep with make-up on. Also, keep your hair away from your face. Hair contains oil that may create breakouts to your skin.

Wash your pillow case and towels. They are absorbent and they absorb even acne-contributors too. Lastly, never prick your pimples. You do not want your face to be as dirty as your fingernails, right?

Eating healthy food because when you have ACNE would be best in order for you to cleanse yourself not only outside but also inside. It would indeed help if you lessen your oily or fatty food intake. Eating food rich in fiber is a remedy. Moreover, in order for you to maintain a healthy skin, eating food that is considered anti-oxidants would matter a lot. Food rich in Vitamins A, B and D as well as those rich in calcium, potassium, phosphorus, chloride, magnesium, zinc, iron and sodium.

When you maintain a diet which is high in beta-carotene and zinc, it would also be of help not only prevention but as well as in the healing process and anti-scarring of acne.

Beauty is skin deep. Yes, but having beautiful skin will make you feel more beautiful for your self.

Click Here for More Great Articles!

Pregnant Women and Acne Treatment

Treating acne is really the right move when you have it, but not at all times. There are stages in the life of a person when you could not treat acne anytime you want to. And, this is during pregnancy. As we know, this is a delicate stage in a woman’s life and it is that phase of a woman’s life that she must show extra care for herself. When she feels the need of treating acne, she must see to it that she equips her self with the right information.

This must also be remembered by those who may also get pregnant. The following are some medications for acne that are not good for use during pregnancy for they are harmful for the fetus:

First is Hormonal therapy that may include estrogen, flutamide, and spirolactone. They are a big no. They are harmful and may lead to some problems for both the mother and the child. Better see it as a threat

Another one that would just put a pregnant woman’s life in danger is Isotretinoin. This has negative effects as well especially for pregnant women or those that are breastfeeding. This could cause severe health hazards on both mother and the fetus inside her womb. It is advised that a woman on the process of taking this must be monitored by the expert. Those who are trying to be pregnant must ignore the use of this for it may just trigger negative effects not only for you but most especially to your child.

And, also if Oral tetracyclines which could be of doxycycline, tetracycline and minocycline, must not be an option at all for it would not do you any good. As tested and proven, pregnant women or those that are breastfeeding must ignore the use of this for it may just give those bad side effects that would nothing else be but a threat to your life and to your child. The topmost effect is permanent discoloration of teeth or bone disorders.

And the last one to ignore is topical retinoids such as tazarotene, adapalene and tretinoin.
Just like the above-mentioned means, this could just be another hazard to you and your baby’s health. So, whether you are pregnant or not, it is not wise to use all these mentioned.

For all of you who would like to treat their acne but are pregnant, why must you risk your life and the life of your child just to have a prettier face?

There is due time for treating your acne and during your pregnancy is not one of the safest times.

Click Here for More Great Articles!

Not All Scars Tell a Great Story

Acne is such an ugly thing to have not just when it is all-red and loud, that people could notice it and tell you how bad it looks. You may even blame it to the most unreasonable reason. Well the best thing for you to do is to stop these misunderstandings. When you stick with them, it would not help you find the right treatment for your acne.

These are the common things we think of when it comes to the cause of acne:

The most misconception is that it is fine to have acne especially when you are a teenager. Common people would connect it to puberty or to adolescence. This is not a fact. Well, there may be some reasons such as the changes in hormones as one is in that stage. But there is falsity when people say that acne is for teenagers only. As we could see or read on some researches, there are also adults who experience the same acne problems as adults do. Age does not matter when it comes to having acne as long as you keep your face clean, you would not be prone to have it.

Another thing that has been believed to be the cause of acne is daily stress. Most people, young and old, believe in this wrong thought. There is no direct connection between stress and having acne for it the stress caused by your daily life and all other stressful activities you may think of. There has nothing to do with whatever root of stress in your work or studies. There has something to do with the way you treat your skin. When you do not keep your regimen to keep your skin healthy, you would probably have that acne that you are scared to have.

When most people think that acne is just a physical problem, it is but you should also know that it is also an emotional burden. There are a lot of emotional impacts that could be caused by having acne. On of the top most effect is having low self-esteem. As you live in a superficial world like ours, you would really feel insecure whenever you feel like having those eyes staring at your face. People with acne are so timid for they may just be tagged as “ugly” by others. There is a need for you to take care of your skin and face.

The most common misconception about acne is that it could be acquired from eating oily food. Desserts, chocolates and all those oily food must not be blamed for eating such food but for not taking good care of your skin. Well, you must se to it that you maintain that right way of keeping your face clean and healthy.

You have to know the real causes of acne; just do not resort to the wrong conceptions. They could just harm you instead of helping you out in getting rid of acne. And, you know what could be the effects of those red tiny humps on your face.

Click Here for More Great Articles!

Fight against ACNE

Acne is a common skin problem not only in the USA but in many parts of the world. Without you knowing it, they could harm your skin. They could even lead your skin to some disorders. Instead of using such chemical-based, you could try the natural things or products with natural components. One great example is soaps with tea tree oil.

· Stress? Out!

As shown by studies, there is a greater chance of having ACNE especially after puberty. This is a stage when hormonal changes are at their peak. The more you get stressed, the more your body would react to it. Relax, when you control stress, your body could produce more cortisol, which is helpful against acne or its agents.

· Not much coffee

Caffeine is identified to cause more stress by producing stress hormones in the body. This is not healthy for your skin, stress would aggravate acne.

Take these as reminders; you would surely be acne-free!

Click Here for More Great Articles!

Facing Acne: How to Cope With its Effects

As we are all aware of, there are emotional effects caused by acne. More than those obvious red bumps on your face, there are effects of acne that could not just be healed by any cream or acne solution and that is the emotional scars left by acne. Well, no doctor or any expert dermatologist could provide you with the best answers to this problem on acne.

According to studies, acne is very common when one is on his teenage years. For teenagers experiencing the pains of acne, it is very difficult to face the social impacts of acne. There are these marks of shame, depression and even self-pity. As a parent of a teenager who faces this problem, you could be one of the greatest helps. What could you do? You could do a lot.

Remind your child that acne is temporary.

As a guardian, you need to be there and give the encouragement to your child. You would probably see him or her so down due to the way people and criticisms pinch him or her. Tell that it will not last for long and that it would be successfully surpassed. Never stop to explain the importance of moving on despite the negative reactions from others for their words are not that important at all.

Bring your teen to a good dermatologist

Do not wait for your teen’s acne problem to get worse before you go and see a dermatologist. The earlier the better, this may be cliché but very true for this matter and you could realize the truth behind this. You need to find the dermatologist who deserves your trust. Be with your teen as you have visits to the dermatologist.
